What resulted was the most sonically adventurous album of Lamontagne’s decade-long career, “Supernova,” one that earned raves from some critics and head-shaking from long-time fans for diving into Sixties psychedelia that would fit on a Jefferson Airplane or late-era Byrds album.

”But after that I just felt a little less concerned about what was going on creatively.” What was the advice? “That’s kind of personal,” he says.

“Elvis is just a really generous guy so I sent him an email explaining what I was going through and asked for advice. “I just thought I would ask someone who must have been through it,” he adds. One missive to Costello got him on track. I hadn’t had that experience before so I was kind of at a loss.” They all felt like good potential songs and songs that could make a good record, but somehow they just didn’t feel like the record I wanted to make,” he says during a rare interview from his Massachusetts home. “I was getting a lot of tunes as I always do, but they just weren’t’ demanding my attention enough. When Ray Lamontagne was unsatisfied with the batch of songs he’d written as the follow-up to his chart-topping, Grammy Winning “God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise,” he shot an email to a pal named Elvis Costello that helped get him on a new course. GSD will always be Gsd folks, it's in their nature (once you get unadulterated bloodline sha).Having experienced and generous friends comes in handy. "Dey there dey mis-yarn na, make she kuku bite craze comot for your body", I whispered to myself, lol!Īnytime there's a knock on the gate she responds, and if we don't wanna answer that knock, nobody go tell you make you kukuma carry yourself comot. "Aaah! I thought she was all peaceful before o". Well, some of those people came around these past few days and Arya showed them a little of the stuff she's made of. Told them the only reason I'm familiarizing her this early is for their sake. It's either they don't know the breed Gsd, or they underestimated my girl. I recall some people were telling me some time ago that the way I have her familiarizing with people will in turn make her not to be good guard dog as she'll now be friendly with everyone, that I supposed to lock her up in a cage away from people to make her aggressive and better guard dog and I laughed The GSD baser instincts are kicking in fully now. I'd keep the thread updated if I see some interest from you guys.ġ Like Re: Meet Arya, My Northern Girl I Call Her by Eveezy( m): 7:06pm On Apr 01Īrya is becoming very much aware of her environment. In all she's intelligent in a quite intriguing and funny way. She's 3 months and hasn't even started barking yet. She's so meek and peaceful too much for my liking oh You may even mistake her for a cat.

Well let's see how she turns out when she's older Doncolidon:Īll thanks to for this sweet girl. That there's nothing soothing like having a pup that barks only when necessary, instead of those incessant, noisy, annoying and unnecessary barking. Someone told me that Arya is one of a kind kind of dog. Didn't expect her to have that kind of bold & loud voice, at least for her age. So Arya barked for the first time in my presence few days ago oh.omo! Almost got me startled. I don't know whether there's any other person that experienced this same issue as well.
